1. About these terms

These terms apply to this website, the public demo of Django-Appointment (the “Demo”). By using the Demo you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Demo.

The Django-Appointment package you install from PyPI or GitHub (the “Package”) is not covered by these terms: it is governed only by its license, described in section 7.

2. What the Demo is

The Demo lets you try the Package as a client, a staff member or an administrator. The services, staff members and appointments you see are fictional. Booking a service here does not create a real appointment with anyone, and no payment is requested or collected.

The Demo is provided for evaluation only. It may be unavailable, reset, changed or taken offline at any time, without notice.

3. Email addresses

Showing how the Package handles email is part of the point of the Demo: when you book, it sends real confirmation, verification and reminder emails from my own mail server. So, when you're asked for an email address, you must provide one that exists and that you're allowed to use.

Please don't enter fake addresses or someone else's address. Emails that bounce or reach people who never asked for them can get the mail server blacklisted, which would break the Demo for everyone. A disposable address of your own is fine.

4. Your data

The Demo only stores what you type into it: typically a name, an email address, a phone number, an address and appointment details. This data is used to run the Demo, including the emails described above, and for nothing else. It is not sold or shared.

The whole database is deleted every 2 hours and rebuilt from the sample data. Anything you entered before a reset, including your email address, is gone after it.

Don't enter sensitive information, such as health details or passwords you use elsewhere, into any field. For cookies and similar technologies, see the Cookie Policy.

5. Acceptable use

The Demo and its staff and admin accounts are shared by every visitor. While using it, please don't:

• enter offensive, illegal or misleading content, or other people's personal data;
• use the Demo to send emails to people who didn't ask for them;
• run automated scripts or load tests, or try to disrupt or break into the server;
• change the demo accounts' passwords or otherwise lock other visitors out.

Found a security issue? Please report it privately rather than exploiting it on the Demo.

6. Suspension

To protect the Demo and the mail server, I may block access, delete content before the next scheduled reset, or suspend the Demo entirely, at any time and without notice, if these terms aren't respected.

7. The Package and its license

Django-Appointment is free, open-source software released under the Apache License, Version 2.0. You may use, modify and redistribute it, for personal or commercial purposes, under the conditions of that license. If anything on this website seems to conflict with the license, the license wins.

8. No warranty

The Demo is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. The Package carries the warranty disclaimer set out in its license.

9. Limitation of liability

The Demo is free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of it, including lost data. This doesn't limit any liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.

10. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the Demo after a change means you accept the new version.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the applicable law of the European Union, without regard to conflict of law principles.
