Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 24, 2026
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies this website, the public demo of Django-Appointment (the “Demo”), uses and why. It complements the Terms of Use, which also explain what happens to the data you enter.
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep and send back on later visits. Local storage is a similar mechanism, except the data stays in your browser and isn't sent to the server.
2. Cookies set by the Demo
All of these are first-party cookies, set by this website only. None of them is used to track you or to build a profile.
| Name | Why it's needed | Duration |
|---|---|---|
csrftoken |
Protects forms and requests against cross-site request forgery. Set by Django. | 1 year |
sessionid |
Keeps you logged in as a demo account and remembers where you are in a booking. | Until you close the browser, at most 1 hour of inactivity |
django_language |
Remembers the language you picked in the menu. | Until you close the browser |
acceptedTerms |
Remembers that you accepted the terms of use, so the notice isn't shown again. | 1 day |
3. Local storage
These values stay in your browser. The server never receives them.
| Key | What it stores | Duration |
|---|---|---|
termsAccepted |
That you accepted the terms of use. | Until you clear your browser data |
dp-explore-progress |
Which guided-tour tasks you've ticked on the Explore page. | Until you clear your browser data |
4. Third-party services
To load faster, some files come from public content delivery networks rather than from this server. Your browser connects to them directly, so they receive your IP address and basic browser information, as with any website. The Demo doesn't use them to track you. Their own policies apply:
- Google Fonts: typefaces
- cdnjs (Cloudflare): jQuery, Bootstrap, icons and calendar libraries
- jsDelivr: Bootstrap styles
- unpkg: Ionicons
- Imgur: an illustration on one error page
Links to GitHub, PyPI, the documentation site and other external pages only take effect when you click them.
5. What the Demo doesn't use
No analytics tools, advertising networks, social media plugins, tracking pixels or fingerprinting. The emails the Demo sends don't contain tracking pixels either.
6. Managing cookies
Because every cookie above is needed for a feature to work, there is no consent banner. You can still block or delete them in your browser settings. The public pages will keep working, but logging in, booking and switching language won't.
7. Changes to this policy
If the Demo starts using a new cookie or service, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
